Hello Parents and Students,

I am very excited to teach Fifth Grade again this year at Havens. I love working here and I enjoy working with Fifth Graders. My goal for the year is to help every student move forward with their academic knowledge in a lively and focused environment.

Before I came to Havens, I spent three years as a Teacher on Special Assignment in the Oakland Unified School District coordinating the K-12 efforts to develop and sustain School Gardens as outdoor classrooms to teach science, math and nutrition.

I have been a Middle School and Elementary School teacher and an assistant principal.

Personally, I am married and have four children of my own. I have two in Fourth Grade, one in Seventh and my oldest is starting High School. My family is very involved in the Piedmont Swim Team and the Piedmont Boy Scouts.
